Started from last Monday (May 26, 2008), my office Schoolnet broadband was upgraded from 2Mbps to 4Mbps internet connection.
This is due to the completion of our new networking facilities that covered almost whole campus building. Therefore, using that 2Mbps connection on the new network will be like we are using a motorcycle engine as a bus engine (Metaphorically Speaking
).
So today I run a speed test to “personally validate”
whether the connection is really 4Mbps or not. Continue reading »

TechTarik.net blog was offline for about two and a half hours today. It went back online at 2.30 PM.
I chat with the Exabytes support assistant and ask him why is my blog got that error message. Then he explained to me that that The Data Center Network that are hosting IP range 210.48.157.0/24 is encountering slow and intermittent network access. And their announcement about it has been posted on their Client Support Center here.
Mozilla Firefox said : “Database Error, Error establishing a database connection”.
Internet Explorer said : “HTTP 500 Internal Server Error, The website cannot display the page”.

Some of you might have realized it. Today When I log in to my Gmail, the loading page has changed from a plain ‘Please Wait..’ text to something like this.
